Service Objects Donates its Web Services to Schools
Santa Barbara, CA - September 6, 2006 - Service Objects, Inc. is now offering its web services to schools free of charge. Since its founding in 1999, Service Objects, Inc. has extended charitable contributions to a variety of foundations, including the Marin Cancer Project and Angel Flight West. This new school promotion allows educational institutions across the country, free access to 24 different web services. Schools can process up to 5,000 transactions monthly at no cost, a savings of over $1,300 per year.
Hillsborough City School District is currently using the DOTS FastWeather web service to append weather information into in their district-wide Intranet. "Service Objects' generosity has greatly enhanced our educational program and made it possible to integrate weather information, forecasts, and meteorology intelligence," says Troy Hager, Technology Specialist. "We are grateful to have this educational partnership and be able to offer our students access to technology they would not otherwise see."
